Carlyle sector expertise and global network will support NOSA’s global growth

Johannesburg, South Africa, October 13, 2017 – Global Alternative Asset Manager The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG) announced that it has agreed to acquire the NOSA Group from Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed MICROmega Holdings for approximately R750 million.

In May of this year, NOSA acquired the Occupational Hygiene (OH) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) divisions of LexisNexis Legal & Professional (part of RELX Group). Duncan Carlisle, CEO of NOSA, took a moment to answer a few key questions around this acquisition.

NOSA, a member of the MICROmega Holdings Limited “MMG” group of companies, is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Occupational Hygiene “OH” and Occupational Health and Safety Divisions “OHS” from LexisNexis Legal & Professional, part of RELX Group. According to Greg Morris, Chief Executive Officer at MMG, “The acquisition of the divisions provides NOSA with an experienced team of health and safety consultants, along with expanding NOSA’s footprint in the occupational hygiene sector.”
